Swept Wings | Simple explanation of a complex topic.
Переглядів 38 тис.11 місяців тому
A swept wing angles backward from its root rather than sideways and is primarily used to increase the Mach-number capability of fast aircraft. This is a complex topic. If you are an engineer, you may wish for a more in-depth explanation. However, for us pilots, this video provides a simplified explanation. It briefly illustrates the theories behind the design of swept-back wings, their pros and...

how AUTOROTATION works on airplanes?
Centrifugal force does not exist 🤦🏻♂️ don't explain physics if you don't understand it... As you explained, the total forces combined will be 0 and thus the plane should remain at its current speed and direction, but the plane is turning.
that heavy breathing in my headphones.. just can't do it
The load factor decreases to a -1g.
Maybe I'm missing something but when the aircraft pitches or yaws in any direction isn't the flight path changing also. I mean thats the whole purpose of pitch and yaw.🤷🏻
Brilliant!
MORE RIGHT RUDDDDERRRRRR
Defund Boeing! Support AirBus!
Amazing video ! Thank you
Thank you too!
Amazing video ! Thank you
That explain why my instructor always told me to watch out for this
Great quiz!
P factor occurs after 4 pints
WATCHED.✔
Great video! It proves the Earth is flat. It can't work on a globe.
The simplicity of the explanation is outstanding, thanks you
Thanks
The coolest explanation 👌 2024
Because of more drag. Amazing video!
This is super helpful for the commercial and fight instructor written. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
It be wigglin' as it flyin'.
I thought a dutch roll is when you commence take-off without ATC clearance.
Nice one....
Thanks 😊
Without flight-club I wouldn' be able to pass my ATPL
That is why u always need more right rudder 😂
Propeller the UA-camr on Tds and Tdx
I'm here after watching the Senate hearing about Boeing CEO & Boeing disregard to safety for profit😢
❤Perfect , I still have my circular rule
It's even more complicated for rotary wing aircraft. Huey pilot I know said once that there are 3 P factors involved with copters. The advancing blade on a chopper is the reason the aircraft commander sits on the right in a helicopter. Fixed wing aircraft have the command pilot sit on the left...mostly for visibilty in the pattern.
I will put this on if I'm ever having a hard time sleeping.
SO I LEARN ALL ABOUT AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING
👍
Boeing airplanes are scary
There’s not one video on youtube that gets this right.
Is this a Boeing?
Great explanation. So as a layperson, I'm wondering can this affect the structural integrity of the plane? I think maybe yes.
I thought a Dutch roll was something you cooked in a Dutch oven .😄😄
Seems like it would feel similar to the instability experienced when hauling a hitched trailer load behind a truck with the weight distributed to the back of the trailer. Without the Yaw Damper it would be too easy for a pilot to overcorrect with the continued oscillation
I'm looking at YOU Boeing
This video drags and makes me yawn.
In my opinion, it seems like all the flights do this at some point during the flight simply because of the wind/turbulence. Either that.....of this video isn't good enough visually to get the point across.
I got on here to see what a Dutch roll was
Southwest Airlines got me here.
Boeing is currently writing suicide notes for everyone currently investigating them over this incident.
Thankfully this Short video exists and not 30 minutes of explaining a bunch of useless information claiming to be a "what is a dutch roll" video from other creators.
Aeroplane dance moves 😅
Thank you for the good, clear explanations. Above all, 100,000 thanks for taking the trouble to use the more specific term " aeroplane" or "airplane" instead of the generic, imprecise and overused term "aircraft". You are the first narrator I found to do this.
You are welcome!
I'm Dutch and I can confirm this is how we roll
